Synagogue Mezake et Harabim Synagogue was founded in 1881-1882 and built after Jews moved to the Karsiyaka area from the traditional Jewish quarters. The synagogue building has undergone a successful renovation and conservation at  the hands of the  Karsiyaka Municipality, after the community agreed to transfer it to the City for public use.
